Visa Information
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Valid passport, visa, and return or an onward ticket required. Nationals of Malta and Arab countries do not need a visa. Generally, it is less expensive to obtain a visa upon arriving at Cairo Airport (see Thomas Cook or the three exchange booths). The single entry visa is good for three months, and entitles the holder to stay in Egypt for 1 month. If planning to return to Egypt after travel to other countries in the region, you should request a multiple-entry visa.
Note: Travel is restricted from certain countries.Check with your nearest embassy or consulate regarding these restrictions.
Visa Extentions: can be obtained for periods up to 6 months. Usually, you must show that you have exchanged at least US$180/month. Make sure to keep all bank receipts. The extentions may be obtained at most points of entry.
