The Majestic South. The South is unique and breathtaking. Whenever you tread, you are experiencing the past at one and the same time. There is hardly no place that doesn't have a relic that tells you of the grandeur of the ancient Egyptians several thousand years ago. The visitor can witness this experience by visiting the temples of Luxor and Karnak and the museum at the east bank of the Nile.
The west bank of the Nile has a bounty of tourist attractions such as the Colossi of Memnon, the Tombs of the Valley of the Kings and Queens, the Mortuary Temples, the Tombs of the Nobles and the Tombs of Dar El-Medina.
There are also some landmarks that the tourists can enjoy such as Abu Haggag Mosque, the Coptic Church, the monasteries at Deir el-Shayeb, Deir Marie Girgis, and Deir El-Muharab.
There are several floating hotels and various Nile cruises, Sound & Light, and the Sacred Lake which the tourists will find attractive and unique.
